Video: Justice for Omar Khadr

LRWC, B.C. Civil Liberties Association and StopWar.ca contributed to Amnesty International’s public forum, at Simon Fraser University.

LRWC participated in the Justice for Omar Khadr Event held in Vancouver on January 11, the 8th anniversary of the opening of Guantanamo Bay prison. A vigil at Victory Square was following by a public discussion at Simon Fraser University, Harbour Centre. Speaking at the Amnesty International event were Derrick O’Keefe, a writer and social justice activist, Carmen K. Cheung, a lawyer with B.C. Civil Liberties Association lawyer specializing on issues relating to national security, and Gail Davidson, Executive Director of Lawyers’ Rights Watch Canada.
