Kenneth Deer, of the Mohawk Nation at Kahnawake, is a journalist and educator who is internationally recognized for promoting the recognition and protection of Indigenous Peoples’ rights. Recently, Mr. Deer attended the CERD Committee review of Canada’s compliance with the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination.
