Leo McGrady is counsel with McGrady & Company in Vancouver, British Columbia. He received his degrees from the University of Toronto and the University of Manitoba. He represents unions, employees, NGOs, journalists and media on labour relations, class actions, human rights, Charter, as well as defamation issues. He has written and spoken in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and Europe on a variety of subjects, including the impact of trade agreements on human rights and labour law. Mr. McGrady has argued cases at all levels of Courts in British Columbia and the Yukon. He has also been counsel on a number of precedent setting Charter/labour law cases at the Supreme Court of Canada. Mr. McGrady has taught at the Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia, Capilano University, and the British Columbia Continuing Legal Education Society. He is a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, the U.S. National Lawyers Guild, and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is a Director for LRWC. He commutes to and works remotely from the US for portions of the year.
