Help us reach our funding goal in 2013

Thanks to our members and donors

LRWC work contributes to saving lives, securing liberty, obtaining UN recommendations, changing opinions, assisting human rights defenders and promoting understanding of human rights and the rule of law. See our 2012 Annual General Report and our regular newsletters.

Donate to our research and education to promote understanding and recognition of international human rights

LRWC relies on your donations for research and education. In 2013, LRWC continues its research and education initiatives, including the popular series: “First Nations’ Rights: The Gap between Law and Practice” that features the inspiring work of leading scholars and practitioners. LRWC Members’ Advocacy Has Positive Results

in 2013, LRWC members continue their advocacy as part of the global effort to protect lawyers and other human rights defenders around the world. LRWC continues to strengthen the impact of its initiatives by working in cooperation with over 45 NGOs around the world. In 2013 LRWC continues to make submissions to governments and United Nations bodies to advocate for the rule of law and international human rights including in Burma, Cameroon, Canada, China, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Turkey and Vietnam.

There is much to do: Please join LRWC today.

LRWC’s advocacy work continues to be essential as attacks on human rights and those who defend them increase, and impunity for violators continues in so many countries. To continue to respond effectively, LRWC relies on your membership fees to enable us to promote improved safety and independence for lawyers and other human rights defenders.
