Carolyn McCool is a public interest lawyer. She has been a staff lawyer in the legal aid system in BC, a member of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, and has worked abroad in institution- and peace-building missions in post-conflict societies, namely, Kosovo and Afghanistan. Currently she is a member of the Mental Health Review Board of BC, and providing pro bono support to refugee organisations in the refugee bar here in Canada, as well as a mobile telephone health NGO working in Kenya. Her BA (Hons) in philosophy is from the University of California and her law degree is from the University of British Columbia.
